What happens if my patient or client does not pay back their Scratch Plan?

Once a patient or client accepts and uses a payment plan, Scratch takes full responsibility if the patient defaults and will never dispute charges for a delinquent patient with you! If a patient ever disputes a charge with us, we will request a copy of the invoice with the services provided.

That said, in some rare cases where we notice unusually high default rates from a practice, we do reserve the right to (i) apply more stringent criteria for approval, (ii) decrease amounts originated to patients, and (iii) require additional verification from patients to take out payment plans.
