Mark McGaunn, CPA, CFP® is a tax partner at LGA, LLP, a Woburn, MA top 200 CPA firm that provides strategic tax and business planning, outsourced management accounting, practice valuations, acquisition due diligence and practice management advisory services for US veterinary and dental practice owners. He is the co-host of the highly-successful veterinary industry podcast "The Veterinary Survival Show". Mark leverages over 30 years of business experience and has consulted nationally with veterinarians and dentists on issues from new practice construction to associate group acquisitions. He was the contributing finance editor for Blackwell’s “5 Minute Veterinary Practice Management Consult” 1st-4th editions and a contributing author to the Wiley reference book "Pet-Specific Care for the Veterinary Team". Mark McGaunn is currently the Treasurer for The Veterinary Cooperative, a group purchasing organization serving 3,700member veterinary hospitals. He’s spoken at the North American Veterinary Conference (VMX), the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) Annual Meeting, Central Veterinary Conference (CVC), Yankee Dental Congress and Western Veterinary Conference (WVC) on finance, strategic business planning, retirement and succession planning issues for practice owners. He has been featured in the Journal of Accountancy, Journal of Financial Planning, Veterinary Economics, DVM360.com, Dental Products Shopper and Veterinary Practice News magazine.
